Geometry Dash Modes

The core objective of Geometry Dash is to guide a customizable icon through a series of levels, jumping and flying over or around obstacles to reach the end. Throughout a level, the player's icon transforms into different forms, each with unique mechanics. These include:

  • Cube: The standard mode. Tapping makes it jump.
  • Ship: Hold to fly up, release to fall down.
  • Ball: Tapping makes it reverse gravity.
  • UFO: Tapping makes it hop/jump in mid-air.
  • Wave/Dart: Hold to fly diagonally up, release to fly diagonally down.
  • Robot: Tapping makes it perform a powerful jump; the longer the press, the higher the jump.
  • Spider: Tapping makes it instantly reverse gravity and teleport to the nearest solid surface.

Portals: Levels use portals to drastically alter the gameplay, such as changing the icon's size, speed, game mode, or gravity.
